Explore the diverse, colorful, and at times surprising world of insects. Learn about their amazing anatomy, life cycles, behavior, and ecological relationships. Familiarize yourself with conservation threats and everyday actions you can take to help keep local insects and their habitats healthy. Examples of insects that will be covered include butterflies, moths, dragonflies, beetles, bees and ants.

INSTRUCTOR: Martha Gach is Education Manager and Conservation Coordinator at Mass Audubon’s Broad Meadow Brook Sanctuary in Worcester. Dr. Gach coordinated the design, installation, and maintenance of the sustainable landscape campus at Broad Meadow Brook, she directs adult education programs, and she manages the Sanctuary’s 430+ acres of conservation land for wildlife and people. Dr. Gach also teaches climate change at Worcester State University.
