Make a WISE Gift
This course will discuss important aspects of dramatic comedy. We will look closely at two very important English Comedies performed in the same year (1895). George Bernard Shaw’s Candida and Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest. Both plays are still greatly admired and frequently performed. They could not, however, be more different in how and why they pursue laughter.
