This course will look at the evolution of American air power from its initial development at the end of the 19th century to the present. It will examine both tactical and strategic decisions regarding its development. We will also look at the impact of the military on commercial aviation and vice versa.  Focus in the course will be on the pioneers, WWI and WWII, and contemporary use of airpower.
