In 1943 Rodgers and Hammerstein changed the face of the Broadway musical with Oklahoma!, followed by Carousel, South Pacific, and The King and I. Through an in-depth examination of these shows we will look at the state of musical theater in the early 40’s and the dramatic changes that were made.
Richard Kimball is a retired Professor of Psychology at Worcester State University. He is Librarian and a member of the Worcester chorus. He has taught WISE courses for many years.
