We will study in detail famous court cases of modern times – the crimes committed, the evidence, and the verdicts rendered.  Was justice served in each?  Included will be the trials of the Nazi criminals at Nuremberg, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg for treason, the Lindbergh baby kidnapping, the murder of Lizzie Borden’s parents, the Watergate investigation, the Sacco and Vanzetti case, and others important in our history.  We will examine the merits of each investigation, extract the flaws in the evidence presented, and consider the influence of the media at the time of the trial.

GROUP LEADERMargaret Watson is a product of the Big Ten, having received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and then pursuing further graduate study in research at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.  She is professor emerita from Quinsigamond Community College serving both on the faculty and the administration in her thirty-six year tenure there.
