William Wordsworth, a poet bound by and in nature, set an entirely new direction for poetic language in 1798.   We will be studying several of his Lyrical Ballads and other poems written between 1798 and 1807, revealing his constantly shifting ideas about man’s relation to Nature.  Students will receive weekly handouts of the poems.

GROUP LEADERStephen Teichgraeber was a Professor of English at HC and a Chairman of English at Concord Academy. His specialty is in romantic poetry.
