We will read aloud at least two books of Paradise Lost, using scripts which list each speaker’s role (e.g.: narrator, God, Son of God, Satan, Eve, Adam, angels, etc.) verbatim, in Milton’s own words. Comment and discussion will emerge from the dramatic readings. Some background will be provided.

GROUP LEADER:  Gene McCarthy has taught Milton at Holy Cross College for many years. He was part of Milton Ensemble, a group that presented dramatic readings of each book, one a year.

REQUIRED READING: Scripts will be provided (estimate of $5.00 @) in bookstore or by teacher)
