Criminals have influenced or changed the course of world history for centuries.  Their motives vary, however.  Some desire power, wealth, or fame. Others are willing to victimize others for the sake of their ideology.  We will study examples of all these types, which include the Emperor Nero, Hernando Cortes, Heinrich Himmler and Gavrilo Princip, assassin of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

GROUP LEADER: Margaret Watson is a product of the Big Ten, having received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Michigan.  She pursued further graduate work at The Ohio State University where she was a Teaching Fellow.  She is now Professor Emerita from Quinsigamond Community College.
