NOTE SPECIAL STARTING TIME FOR THESE CLASSES

Mary Cassatt was a remarkable Impressionist painter.  Her personal life, her artistic vision, her experiences as a single American woman living in Europe, her interactions with so many of the famous painters of her time, and the history that she experienced in both America and Europe are rich material for this course.  Topics will include Cassatt’s personal life and family, her immersion into the Impressionist Artist’s world and her contribution to the art world.

GROUP LEADER:   Ellen Duzak is a retired Professor of Psychology from Becker College.  She loves the Impressionist Painters and is fascinated by the life and art of Mary Cassatt.  She has enjoyed many WISE courses at the Worcester Art Museum and has taught WISE classes for several years.
