This course will concentrate on the great song writers of the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and beyond.   The work of Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Natalie Merchant, Jim Croce, Paul Simon, and others, will be covered with a discussion of their personal history and the background and meaning of some of their best songs.  Music videos will be presented. 

GROUP LEADER:  Joseph D. Corn, PE, spent most of his professional career working as a communications and radar engineer.  He has also taught in the NYC school system, Springfield Technical Community College, and Penn State University.   

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SCHEDULING:  Because of a scheduling conflict, this course will not meet on September 9th.  The first class session is September 16th.  All five (5) sessions will be held, with the final class on Friday, October 14th.
