Many poets tend to be intimidated by writing in poetic forms, fearing it will be too difficult and restricting. Yet the practice can be a freeing experience. In this course, you will be introduced to examples of various obscure poetry forms such as the abecedarian, the minute, the streetbeatina, and the anagrammatic selfie and will learn their history and rules.
INSTRUCTOR: Paul Szlosek is co-founder of the Poet’s Parlor poetry venue and the open mic and featured poetry reading series The Poetorium at Starlite in Southbridge.
